Vault Earns Uptime Institute’s Tier III Certification of Constructed Facility

The BendBroadband Vault was awarded the Uptime Institute’s Tier III Certification of Constructed Facility on June 14, 2011. The certification signifies that the Vault meets the criteria set forth by its original design and has not been compromised in any way throughout the construction process.

Tier III Facility CertificationTo achieve this certification, a data center must pass inspection by a team of consultants at an on-site visit. The team thoroughly inspects the original design and proposals, and measures the current facility against these original designs to ensure that nothing has been compromised through selected construction phase practices. Additionally, the facility’s staffing and employee expertise is investigated, as well as the facility’s infrastructure physical security protocols, documentation, procedures and processes.

That the Vault passed with flying colors is a big achievement and one that our employees are particularly proud of. Few data centers possess these credentials and it is proof of the dedication and vision of the Vault staff to make the facility one of the most secure, efficient and flexible among data centers today.

The certification marks the second for the Vault from the Uptime Institute, with the Tier III Design Certification being awarded to the Vault previously this spring on March 23rd.
